Francine Juhasz, Ph.D.
Psychotherapist

Specialist in Emotions, Moods and Energy Management

My credentials

I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland , Ohio , and I’ve been in private practice for 30 years, counseling adults, children, adolescents and couples – as well as psychotherapists and child counselors themselves.

I taught a variety of psychology courses full-time with Jesuits at John Carroll University and later at Cañada College in Redwood City , California , before leaving academia for Europe. There I spent more than two decades counseling adults, adolescents and children in France , Guadeloupe , Spain and the Netherlands , during which time I became familiar with the intimate details of the inner lives of hundreds of individuals of various cultures. I am a Qi Gong practitioner (the internal martial art of energy circulation and management), and became a Denver resident at the beginning of January 2007.

Methods I use in my sessions

I use an eclectic approach, meaning I select what is valid or useful from all available theories, methods, and practices, including my own experience. The eclectic approach rejects adherence to any one school or system, and instead utilizes what is most valid or relevant from the whole therapeutic spectrum. It is composed of contributions from many different sources, and I use them according to whether they are valid, applicable, and indicated.

I have also developed a non-resistance-forming method of diagnostic testing to give me deep insight into the complexities of the person or persons with whom I am working. This tool is particularly helpful in aiding couples to achieve mutual understanding and greater marital harmony. However, it is also a valuable tool to any individual wishing to know him or herself in depth for the purposes of self-development, self-fulfillment and spiritual progress.
